River Heights, Childxcare Centre, welcomes babies from six weeks of age to school-age children and has tailored learning programs for every child. Infants

River Heights, Childcare Centre, acknowledges that this is often a family’s first experience in early childhood care and education. As such, we endeavour to create a family feel every day between the educators, the babies and the parents. We offer various activities and opportunities designed to promote infant development, and our experienced educators are available to provide support and guidance.

Our segregated sleeping area for infants ensures that the little ones can get the rest they need without being disturbed by the noise of older children. Each child has their cot, sleeping linens, and milestone checklist to help us monitor their development. We also provide support with sleeping routines and dieting practices.

Toddlers

Toddlers at River Heights Childcare Centre are encouraged to develop self-help skills and explore their world through our weekly incursions and excursions. A highlight of our programming is when the magician visits every year and the regular puppet show. We also take the children on an excursion to the gardening centre as part of our sustainability program. They participate in gardening workshops and learn about living safely with dogs. Our munch & move physical activity program is designed to get toddlers moving and encourages healthy lifestyle habits. And, of course, we celebrate all the special occasions like Christmas, Easter, Halloween, and Birthdays.

To further support families, we supply sunscreen, linen for nap time, morning and afternoon tea, toilet training resources, and all normal health & safety things like teaching proper oral care. At River Heights Childcare Centre, we go above and beyond to create a warm, welcoming space for all infants and toddlers in our care.

Pre Schoolers

River Heights Childcare Centre understands that preschool is crucial for your child's development. We provide a nurturing and stimulating environment that encourages learning through play. Our Prep for school program offers linen & bed wear for naps, munch & move, incursions & excursions, health & safety & self-help skills, working with communities – getting involved in the community, stranger danger etc., reading & writing skills, craft experience and qualified staff passionate about early childhood education. We work closely with your child to help them reach their full potential, tailoring our program to meet your child’s needs.
